In what has become a recurring theme in 2010, Coors Light management struggled to piece together a competitive line up Thursday Night.  With a number of regulars out again, Coors Light had to start another game with only eight; not the formula for success when facing first place powerhouse, Lincoln (19-2).  The opposition took full advantage of the weak Coors Light line up and slaughtered them for the fourth time this season, 26-7.  Coors Light dropped to 7-12 on the year, as Lincoln dominated Coors Light in every phase of the game.

Jim Antonetti (3-3, R, 2B, HR, 4 RBI), Joe Nichols (3-3, R, 3B), Steve Perkins (3-3, 3 R), Captain Joe Voci (2-3, RBI), and Brian Brown (2-3, R, RBI) combined for 13 of the 16 hits on the night.  Unfortunately, the remainder of the line up could only manage three hits in 17 at bats, as the team hit .500 during the game.

Voci (2-7) took the loss on the hill, as he was rocked by the illegal Lincoln bats.  The defense struggled once again, as Lincoln took extra base after extra base throughout the game.  John Powers, admirably filling in for Antonetti at the hot corner, made perhaps the worst single error this season (not counting the five foot pop up he failed to catch a couple games back) when he dropped an easy toss from short.   

Coors Light next faces second place Fast Last Monday @6:45, as they look to rebound from another disappointing loss.
