In yet another game they should have won, Coors Light found a way to lose 12-5 to a vastly undermanned Fast Lane team (which included a 55 year old who killed us all night). In doing so, the team dropped its 7th straight and fell to 7-19 on the year.
Powered again by a pregame dinner of Captain Crunch, Jim Antonetti (3-3, 2 R, 2B, 3B, RBI) continued his torrid July (18-21, 4 HR, 17 RBI this month) and remained the offense’s only real consistent threat. Jeff Stastny (2-2, 2 RBI, SF), Bobby McCarthy (2-3, R, RBI), and Chris Washburn (2-3) helped out as well; each securing multiple hit games. Unfortunately, the remainder of the line up went a disastrous 5-21.
Steve “DJ Cowboy Steve” Perkins dropped to 1-6 on the season, as the defense played well again. However, the Fast Lane illegal bats were simply too much to overcome.
Coors Light next faces 16-9 DeGrace, Friday Night @8:45 with Pizza Fest post game. |
