LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Campbellsville University's Logan Smith and Jared Lunardi are the Mid-South Conference Baseball Player and Pitcher of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.

The MSC weekly award is the second straight for Smith and the second this season for Lunardi.

Smith amassed a .667 (10-for-15) batting average with a pair of home runs and eight runs batted in to earn MSC Player of the Week honors. The Campbellsville, Ky., junior catcher helped the Tigers to a perfect week, including a win over No. 3-ranked Cumberland (Tenn.) University and a sweep of conference foe St. Catharine College.

Smith had multiple hits in three of his five games last week, including a 4-for-4 day with a home run and three RBIs in a 10-0 win over St. Catharine. He blasted a three-run home run earlier in the week in the 5-4 win over Cumberland.

This season, Smith ranks in the conference's top-10 in RBIs (38) and doubles (13). He's 11th in home runs with five. Smith is batting.362 this season.

Lunardi recorded a win and a save while not allowing a run in his seven innings of work to earn MSC Pitcher of the Week honors.

The Santa Rosa, Calif., native, opened the week with a save in the Tigers' 5-4 win over Cumberland. Lunardi hurled a scoreless inning to pick up his first save of the season.

Lunardi completed the week with a six-inning complete-game, one-hitter to run his season record to 5-1 this season. He struck out four St. Catharine batters in the 10-0 win.

On the season, Lunardi leads the MSC in earned run average (1.43) and second in strikeouts (55). The opposition is batting .201 against him this season, third-best in the conference.

Campbellsville is 27-12 overall this season and leads the MSC by a 1/2 game with a 17-2 conference record.
