Welcome to Central Catholic Baseball

Game 27- The Central Catholic season came to an end with a 10-2 loss to St. Mary in the first round of the playoffs. A special thanks to everyone who helped our program this year.

Game 26- The Central Catholic Eagles beat Runnels 5-0 .  Grant Garber got win to improve his record to 4-3 striking out 2 and just allowing 3 hits.  Andrew Templet closed out the last two innings without allowing a hit.  Offensively Austin Aucoin went 2-3 with 2 stolen bases and scored twice. Joe Hensgens continued a hot bat  going 2-4 with a double, and 2 runs scored. Andrew Templet continued his rbi pace with 3 rbi's and a 2-2 day.  Garrent Patereau also exteded his hitting streak with a 3-3 with 2 doubles and a rbi.  Alumni Day Tomorrow starting @ 12:00  it will be a great day for Central Catholic baseball as old and new players will strap it on to keep the tradition alive.  Hamburgers will also be on the grill. We look forward to a great turnout !  

Game 25-  The Eagles beat Gueydan 14-0.  Offensively  CC bounced back with 12 hits and 2 homeruns in the game.  Joe Hensgens went 2-3 with a homerun and 2 rbi's. Dan Marino 2-3 with 2 rbi's. Mike Lemoine2-3 with a homerun a 2 rbis. Andrew Templet finshed the attack going 2-3 double, triple, and 3 rbi's.  Ethan Leblanc got the win throwing 5 innings . striking out 5 and giving up just 3 hits. The Eagles next competition is Saturday @ 1 against Runnels.

Game 24- CC lost to Delcambre 4-0 in a lackluster offensive performance.  Grant Garber pitiched all 7 innings giving up 4  ( 2 earned) .  Andrew Templet recorded the only hit. 

Game 23-  CC was not going to let another close one get away as they got a come from behind victory against Vermeilion Catholic  9-8. Austin Aucoin was 2-5 scoring 3 times,  Andrew Templet was 2- 2 with 2 rbi's and scored twice, Garret Patereau was 3-4 with 2 doubles, a homerun and 4 rbi's.  Ethan Leblanc picked up the win coming in relief throwing 4 innings giving up just 1 hit and striking out 2.  Thanks again to all the support of our fans . We play Delcambe on Thursday  J.V 4:00 and Varsity 6 at Amelia.

Game 22- The Eagles lost another close one losing to Hanson 9-7 .  CC was lead by Jordan Bartley and Andrew Templet whom both had 2 rbi's a piece.

Game 21- CC brought their bats to the park as the Eagles defeated Gueydan 18-0 Austin Aucoin went 4-4 with 3 rbi's , Joe Hensgens went 2-3 , Mike Lemoine 3-4 , Jordan Bartley went 2-3 , Buck Gautreaux went 3-3 with 2 rbi's and Blaine Bourgois went 2-2 with 2 rbi's. The eagles had 19 hits on the day.  Andrew Templet got the win on the mound throwing 3 2/3 with 5 strikeouts.  Ethan Leblanc came in relief and got a basesloaded double play and struck out the side to end the game.  The Eagles hope to build off of today as they travel to Franklin  on Wednesday for a game against Hanson @ 6:00.

Game 20- Delcombe beat CC 3-0    Grant Garber Pitched a complete game giving up 1 earned run.  CC still struggled with their bats as they continue to try and  find a way to generate some  momentum as an offense.

Game 19 - Vermillion Catholic beat CC 7-0

Game 18- CC lost to Hanson 5-4 in extra innings

Game 17- Championship Game CC beat Grace Christian 6-1.   Ethan Leblanc paved the way on the mound throwing a complete game striking out 10 for the win. Offensively  Joe Hensgens went 2-3 with an rbi, Andrew Templet went 2-3 , Mike Lemoine 2 Rbis.  The defense played their best game so far.

Game 16- The Eagles  beat oak grove 11-7  Austin Aucoin went 2-3 , Joe Hensgens went 3-3 with and rbi , Andrew Templet got the win on the mound going 4 1/3 and Ivan Garber came in for the save .

Game 15- CC got back in the win colunm with a 13-7 victory over Montgomery in the first game of the Bringhurst tournament. Grant Garber improved his record to 3-0  pitching all 3 innings. An  improved offensive attack by the eagles forced the game to be cut short due to a time limit.  Dan marino went 3-3 with 3 rbi's and Joe Hensgens went 2-2 with 1 rbi.

Game 13-   HL Bourgouis 2- CC 1

Game 12-  CC played Vandebilt Catholic tough but loss 9-4.  Austin Aucoin led the team with  2 hits and a RBI. Mike Lemoine had a double, Brennan Scully and Blaine Bourgeouis had singles with Bourgeouis getting 2 RBIs.  Ivan Garber competed hard on the mound for a 7 inning complete game. He walked 3 and fanned 3 giving up only 5 earned runs.

Game 11- St. John beat the eagles 13-2 in Plaquemine. 

Game 10-  CC got back into the winning category with a 5-4 extra inning win versus Erath. The eagles played 3 straight pressure cooked games and was able to come from behind to get their 3rd victory of the season. Ivan Garber threw a complete game for the victory. Austin Aucoin, Brennan Scully had 2 hit perfomances. Garrett Patereau, Andrew Templet, and Buck Geautreaux each came through with clutch singles. The eagles finished the Berwick Tournament 1-3 but played their baseball thus far. We look to keep getting better each game and cutting the freebies down for the other team.  Our next game will be in Plaquemine against St. John on Tuesday @ 4:00.

Game 9-  The eagles played another hard fought baseball game but falling again 6-4 to Chalmette.  CC was up 4-3 going into the 6th but couldnt hold on to the lead as chalmette scored 3 in the sixth.  Joe Hensgens, Garrett Patereau had 2 hits a piece. Buck Geautreaux and Blaine Bourgeouis each had a hit. Andrew Templet took the loss.

Game 8- Berwick Beat CC 7-6 in a hard fought baseball game. Ethan Leblanc took the loss but pitched a  competitve 4 innings and brennan Scully came in to pitch the final three and gave his team a chance to win. Austin Aucoin had 2 singles and 1 rbi while Garrett Patereau had 2 triples and 3 rbi's. The Eagles fought hard and at the end the ball just bounced the other way. We looked to build off  of that competitve style of baseball going into Sat. @12:30 against Chalmette.  We will play after that at 2:30 against Erath. These games will all be at Berwick.

Game 7 - CC played Patterson again losing 11-6. It was a slow start for the eagles and a late rally ended in the 6th. Andrew Templet , Mike Lemoine, and Jordan Bartley had 2 hits each. Sydney Cavalier took the loss on the mound.

Game 6 -  Patterson beat CC 12-2 in 5 innings.  CC looks to play better baseball entering the Berwick Tournament. The eagles will play a doubleheader on Thurs. starting @ 5:30 at Berwick. We play Patterson 1st and Berwick 2nd.  Austin Aucoin, Blaine Bourgeouis , Garret Patereau, Dan Marino all had hits. Ethan Leblanc took the loss on the mound. 

Game 5- In the third place game of the Morgan City Tournament CC loss to Westgate 23-7. Garrett Patereau had another 2 hit performance with a 2b,1b and rbi. The eagles made a run cutting the lead to 14-7 going into the 6th but Westgate continued to hit the baseball and the eagle defense squandered 7 errors in the game.

Game 4- CC put on a gutsy performance in a 11-7 to win over Ellender High. Dan Marino went 3-3 with 2 doubles and 3 rbi's. Garret Patereau went 2-3 with a double,triple and 3 rbi's. Grant Garber improved his record to 2-0 going 6 and 2/3.  Sydney Cavelier got his first save  on a strikeout to end a late threat by Ellender.

Game 3- CC loss 11-0 to Central Lafourche.  Grant Garber hit a double, while I van Garber and Mike Lemoine each had a hit a piece.  Defense was the struggle again committing 5 errors. Ivan Garber took the loss pitching 3 innings  giving up 5 runs (3 earned). CC plays tomorrow @ 12:15 against Ellender @Morgan City. Thanks to all the supporters the turnout has been great. 

Game 2 -  CC loss 12-2 to cross-town rival Berwick.  Blaine Bourgouis and Ivan Garber each had two hits a piece. Followed by Brennan Scully, Mike lemoine each with a hit  a piece. Central Catholic walked twelve batters and made 5 errors in the game, They look to cut down the walks  and improve their defense going into tommorrows game against Central Lafource at 5:00 @Morgan City High.

Game1-  The Central Catholic Eagles won their first game of the season by beating Houma Christian 12-2.    Grant Garber pitched a complete game  giving up 1 earned and had 4 strikeouts.  Offensively, the eagles had 10 hits as a team. Garret Patereau lead the team with 3 hits followed by Austin Aucoin with two. Dan Marino , Ethan Leblanc, and Brennan Scully each had a hit a piece. Overall it was a great way to start the season, The Support by the fans was great and it was a good day for baseball.  The Eagles return to action on Thurs. Feb 26 at Berwick for 5:30.
