The 2008 Downriver Outlaws Baseball Organization is comprised of the Elite players from the Downriver area, where we are blessed with an abudance of talent within our communities.

Several age groups will compete in the North West Suburban League, established in 1972 as the premier travel league based in Metropolitan Detroit (Where the 2007 14U Outlaws were American Division Champions).

In addition, The Outlaws will compete in USSSA, NABF, AABC, CABA, and Triple Crown sanctioned tournaments, within as well as outside the state of Michigan.

The OUTLAWS, PRIDE themselves on competing at the highest level possible against the toughest competition in the Midwest Region.

In 2007, the 10U Outlaws won the USSSA Michigan State Championship. Which has never been done by a Downriver Baseball Team before. In 2008, The now 11U Outlaws expect to repeat as champions, along with the 15U and 16U Outlaws being mentioned as some of the preseason powerhouse teams to be on the look out for.


The Downriver Outlaws Baseball organization was formed, July 2007 with a concept in mind to provide the boys of the Downriver area, the opportunity to compete against some of the best compeition in our state and region.

PRIDE, DETERMINATION, DEDICATION, DESIRE. These are words that resemble "The OUTLAWS" and the mentality of our players and organization from the parents, players, coaches, to friends and family. "Never Quit" "Never Die" attitude is the way we play the game.

In our first year of competition, our two teams did exceptionally well for being a new organization. The 2007 10U Team, Finished #1 (USSSA Michigan State Champions) and the 2007 14U Team Finished #7 (USSSA Michigan State Tournament). After beating a team who placed #2 in the state, the 14U OUTLAWS loss by tie breaker rules by allowing 1 more run than the team who finished #2.

During the 2007 USSSA World Series, the 14U Team Placed #9th out of 30 Teams. There only defeats came from #3,#9, #25 Ranked team in the Nation. In addition, "The OUTLAWS" achieved victories over the #5,#14,#15, Ranked teams from Michigan, as well as the 14U USSSA #1 Ohio State Champions.

The 2007 10U OUTLAWS also ended there season with a Top #10 finish in the USSSA World Series.

In 2007 "The OUTLAWS" compiled a series of major accomplishments and tournament victories, with 6 Tournament Championships, 6 Runner Up finishes, and 6 Third Place finishes, "The OUTLAWS" were always in the hunt for the trophy on any given day!

The 14U OUTLAWS also finished in 1st place in the American Division of the North West Suburban League.

In 2008, "The OUTLAWS" Baseball Organization has expanded to 5 teams. 9U, 11U, 13U, 15U, 16U. Each of these teams have been assembled with the elite baseball players the Downriver area has to offer. Forming partnerships with Little League powerhouse organizations such as Taylor Northwest, Taylor Northeast, and Brownstown, "The OUTLAWS" are anticipating each team to become STATE CHAMPIONS.
