Welcome to the 2007 Victoria Junior Mavericks Baseball Season. We are a 21 and under junior baseball team that plays during the week in the Victoria Mavericks Men's League, and on weekends in the BC Junior League. Both of these leagues are wooden bats only.

In the men's league we will be playing 20 league games and will be participating in the May long weekend senior men's tournament at Lambrick Park. In the BC Junior League we play each team a four game series. The teams are Prince George, Kelowna, Kamloops, Burnaby, and Victoria.

The Victoria Junior Mavericks have been extremely successful in the past three years they have been playing in the BC Junior Baseball League. In 2005 the team finished 2nd in league play with 16 wins and 7 losses. The Jr. Mavericks also did very well at the Provincials in Kelowna in 2005 finishing in 3rd place with 4 wins and 1 loss.

In 2006 the Victoria Jr. Mavericks won the junior men's league, finishing 1/2 game ahead of Kamloops Sun Devils (see standings for more information). The Victoria Jr. Mavericks hosted the Provincials at Lambrick Park where the Mavericks beat Prince George to advance to the Nationals in Guelph Ontario (for more information see the stats listed under "Schedule" - Nationals).

If you are interested in playing for the Victoria Junior Mavericks, please contact me as soon as possible, especially those of you who are away attending College, to make sure you are not left out.

For local players, we will be going out to the batting cage at Lambrick sometime in late February or early March. Check out our ticker tape on our website for our practices or feel free to contact me (see below).
