Bandits Tomahawk Bravos, W 21-7
7/10/10- It was a new day for the Bandits as John Henderson took the mound for the first time in 2010 in a Bandits uniform. Henderson pitched solid but ran into problems in the 3rd inning but fortunately made it through. Giving up 4 ER's in 3 innings wasn't a shabby start for Henderson considering he hasn't pitched since 08'. The bats also came alive as the Bandits struck for 21 runs. Also the highly touted Steven Pierce finally got his MABL debut and pitched lights out for 2 innings, and will definitely be seeing more pitching time in the weeks to come. Next up for the Bandits are the Cubs who have proven to be quite the contenders and will not be taken lightly.
They're Alive! Bandits Fight Back, W 10-8
6/26/10- What looked to be another terrible game down 0-5 in the 5th the Bandits seemed to have found what should have never been lost...their bats! Finally scoring double digits again seemed like forever as the Bandits squeak by the talented Wolf Pack. Though the defense and pitching need to tighten up a little the Bandits seem to be back on track. Next on the list are the Braves, who have seemed to struggle a bit this year, but none the less the Bandits will be ready to play.
Bandits Bats and Fielding are in Disarray L 7-10
6/19/10- For the second week in a row the Bandits have not been playing like the team who started the season. Through the first 4 games only 10 runs were given up and through the course of the last 2 they have given up 17. Next week the Bandits look to face the Wolf Pack formerly a Sunday league team with the same record at 4-2.
Untimely Errors and Lack of Offense Deals Bandits First Loss
6/12/10- It just was not the Bandits day to win on what was an overbearing hot day at Osborne. With temperatures well into the 90's and a thin roster the Bandits fell to the Crawdads 6-7. The offense could not get anything going and did not lead any during the game. The Crawdads came to play and caught the Bandits sleeping the whole game. The Bandits will get to see the Crawdads one more time later this season but for now the focus is on the Pirates who acquired star pitcher Bryan Myers from the Atlanta Indians.
Bill "Ghetto Country" Cordell Shuts Down Indians
6/5/10- It was a battle from beginning to end as the Bandits finally beat their rivals the Indians by a score 5-3. Most of Atlanta missed one for the ages as the Bandits had a season low in attendance (6 1/2); but this didn't faze the red hot Bandits. Bill Cordell pitched another complete game only giving up 2 earned runs. Bill also came up with the bases loaded and cleared them with a double to the gap in the outfield. Cordell single handedly takes down the Indians and is the MABL votes leader for the prestigious MVP award. There is no acutal award, but Bandits Nation is pulling for him. Also for the second consecutive week Jonathan "J-Bo" Walls wins MABL manager of the week. The Crawdads are next for the Bandits, last time they met in the playoffs with the Bandits victorious 18-7.
