HISTORY

 The Bulldogs you see today started in the 70's. This team has been here longer than we ever thought.
  Erik Scharff and I thought we would start a 17u American Legion Baseball team in 2009 so that the Montgomery High School baseball players would have a place to play together during the summer. Greg Patterson had started a 19u legion team the year before but there wasn't a team for the 17U players and so the Montgomery High summer team was reborn.
 Erik found our name as he searched the Internet by realizing that there had been a Bennett Valley Bulldogs Joe-D team in the past that was no longer active.
I recognized names of players from past Montgomery teams that had played on the Bulldogs team.

  I recently received an e-mail from a man named Brad Anderson thanking us for bringing back the Bulldogs and how nice it was to see a Montgomery summer team again. I thought he was just a old fan,  but come to find out he was the old Coach and a player. I have meet many old Montgomery players while operating the Bulldogs. Greg Leggens, Doug Silva, Lance Aldridge, Larry Dod, Barry Cramer and many others. It has been a pleasure to help the youth players here at Montgomery.
