September 11, 2010 (Nazareth, PA: Tuskes Park) The Coyotes came into the 2010 hoping to make some noise and earn the respect of the 18+ divison. Not only did the Coyotes make noise, but they were crowned league champions. Th Coyotes finished the playoff sweep at 5-0 after defeating the Caron County Crush in the 2010 Championship Game, 6-5. The Coyotes then exploded in the bottom of the 8th inning for three very important insurance runs, which started with a leadoff triple by Danny Villanti and hits by Brett Stout and Neil Kraus brought in runs to expand the lead to 6-1. After a few costy errors in th 9th, it took another strikeout, the tenth of the game, by Brett Stout to get the Coyotes the win, and the championship.

The Coyotes were red hot all playoffs long at the plate and on the mound, which lead the Coyotes to an MABL record six playoff wins and an undefeated playoff sweep. Through the playoffs, the Coyotes were led at the plate by three players all hitting over .400: Jeremy Lehr (.526), Brett Stout (.473), and Danny Villanti (.421). On the mound, Jason Pennypacker earned three wins, while Brett Stout earned two. Overall, the playoff MVP was Brett Stout, who performed tremendous for the Coyotes both at the plate and on the mound. Stout had 24 strikeouts in three starts, one getting held up by a rain postponement. Overall, the Coyotes finished 13-12, but proved that with the playoff lineup, they can play and defeat any team they face.

August 22, 2010 (Washington Township: Harmony Park) The Coyotes began the day one win shy of a birth in the 2010 MABL Championship. Now, the Coyotes are two wins shy of being named champions. The Coyotes finished the sweep of the 2009 champion- Washington Nationals, in an 11-6 win Sunday. Both teams battled through rainy conditions all day an even mother nature couldn't stop the Coyotes from advancing to the championship. After getting a dominant pitching effort from Jason Pennypacker in Game 1, Game 2 starter Brett Stout, did a great job in matching the ace's performance. Stout controlled the Nationals hitters all day allowing 6 runs (2 earned) on eight scattered hits. Stout used an array of pitches to get hitters out, including a career high 13 strikeouts. Stout also came up big for the Coyotes at the plate with the bases loaded and two out in the 5th inning with a bases clearing double. The hit continued what ended to be a seven run rally from the Coyotes in the fifth inning and gave them a 7-3 lead heading into the bottom of the 5th. After a three run 6th inning from the Nationals, it was a key 2-RBI hit by Danny Villanti that widened the lead to 9-6 and eventually would build to 11-6 in the 7th. With the win, the Coyotes remain unbeaten in the playoffs and will advance to the MABL Championship to face the #2 seed Carbon County Crush. The championship is scheduled for September 11th and 12th at a site to be determined. The Coyotes will be home for the first game of the series.

August 21, 2010 (Washington Township: Harmony Park) When the Coyotes began their inarugural season, they could have only hoped for a chance to play in the 2010 MABL Championship. The Coyotes are one step closer after defeating the 2009 champions and #1 seed, Washington Nationals, 8-2 in Game 1 of the semifinals. The Coyotes were led n the mound by Jason Pennypacker who picked up his second win of the postseason and third overall for the Coyotes. At the plate, the Coyotes had three hitters with multiple hits in Danny Villanti, Rob Schubach, and Neil Kraus. The Coyotes were able to jump on the board early in the first inning on an RBI groundout by Rob Schubach. The Coyotes continued to put runs on the board in the second inning when Brett Stout brought two runs in on an error by All-Star third baseman, Kyle Marason. The Nationals scored two runs in the 4th inning, but were held their for the rest of the game. The Coyotes opened the gap in the 5th inning with 2-RBI hits by both Danny Cahill and Neil Kraus. In total, the Coyotes banged out 11 hits an leaned on Pennypacker's dominant performance. Pennypacker fanned eight batters in the complete game and allowed only seven hits and four walks. The Coyote-ace kept the National hitters off balance all day long mixing in curveballs, sliders, and changeups with a his usual dominating fastball. With the win, the Coyotes are now one win away from the 2010 MABL Championship Series.

August 17, 2010 (Lehigh Township, PA: Bryfogle Park) The Coyotes completed the two game sweep of the Gators on Tuesday night with a 19-5 final in eight innings. The Coyotes led 5-1 before the game was called due to rain on Sunday and was continued Tuesday night, when the Coyotes picked up right where they left off. The Coyotes pounded out 14 hits on Tuesday night alone and totaled 18 throughtout the entire game. MABL All-Star Will Flores (10-2, 101 stikeouts in 2010) pitched Game 2 following a loss in the opening game. However, he was no match for the red hot Coyote offense led by Jeremy Lehr, who added four more hits to his aleady impressive four hits in Game 1. Lehr ended the series going 8-11 and was named MVP of the first round for the Coyotes. As hot as the offense was, it was the pitching that stepped up in a tough spot. After winning Game 1, Jason Pennypacker was asked a tough duty, start Game 2 wth the bases loaded, nobody out, and only six players behind him as the Coyotes stated the game with only eight players. Pennypacker did a great job striking out two and letting only two runners score. After the thrid inning ended with a Coyotes 5-3 lead, it was the offense that provided the heat for the rest of the night. The Coyotes are now on their way to the semi-finals of the MABL and will play the #1 seed Washington Nationals (15-5). The Coyotes will be the home team on Saturday and then will play away for the first game Sunday and second game if necessary.

August 14, 2010 (Allentown, PA: Cedar Brook Park) The Coyotes entered the first round of the 2010 playoffs in their inaugural year as if they played there for the last decade. Jason Pennypacker pitched a complete game allowing 6 runs (only one earned) on just five hits and three walks. All-Star Ralph Andrews started for the Crush going seven strong innings allowing just two runs. The Coyote-offense was lead by catcher, Neil Kraus, who had his best game of the season going 4-5 including a double and an RBI. The game had no bearing on the playoff situation for the Coyotes as they were locked in the #5 seed. The Coyotes were shorthanded playing without five starters and will need to get back to their winning ways when they take on the #4 seed in the first round of the 2010 MABL playoffs. Jason Pennypacker suffered his third loss of the season, pitching only 3.1 innings. It was said that he would be on a pitch count to make sure he was ready for the first round of the playoffs starting Saturday at Bethlehem Township. Ironically, the Coyotes earned a playoff spot with the loss to guarantee themselves their first playoff birth in team history. The Coyotes will end the regular season with a game Sunday against the Carbon County Crush. The Coyotes will look to get back in the win column and gain momentum heading into their first playoff series August 14th and 15th.
