Notes:
The Bluejays who are no strangers to state tourneys, Win on Friday night and punch their ticket to the class "B" state tourney!! With 2 outs and no one one bottom 3rd, Smothers doubled, then Johnson triple 1-0. Johnson then steals home, causeing the Delano pither to balk and its 2-0. Bottom 5th, 2 outs no one on, Smothers singles gets to 2nd, Johnson clutch hits him home 3-0, the JB hits one in the gap that gets lost in the lights and falls for a triple 4-0. Top 6th Delano begins a rally, a clutch 2 out double by caqtcher Andy Brown cuts the lead in half 4-2. They would leave the bases loaded when Hayesw flew out to the 394 sign in center. Plato comes right back to add one in the bottom with a clutch 2 out single by Tony. Then in the 8th Delano loades the bases, adds a run but that was all . 5-3 . The Bluejays were well aware of all the tigers late inn comebacks,got out of the 9th with a great over the shoulder catch by Boomer at 1st. Final 5-3 Bluejays win and the party was on!!! Tony went all 9, givin up 3 runs. On ofense, Smothers & Johnson were 2-4. Plato now plays a seeding game on Sunday at 2pm |
