Player Profile:  DAMON THIESSEN

Damon enjoyed his second season of baseball at the Mosquito level.  Although he has spent a lot of time practicing his pitching, Damon developed a new interest in back catching this year as well.  In his spare time, Damon loves to read, write and illustrate his own stories, and listen to the music of dc talk, the Newsboys, TobyMac, and Petra.  He takes piano lessons and attends the Boys Venture club in his church.  Damon has played three seasons of league hockey in Altona, and follows the NHL closely.  His favourite team is the Edmonton Oilers, but he also enjoys keeping up with the progress of Sidney Crosby of the Pittsburgh Penguins, and Eric Fehr of the Washington Capitals.  Playing mini sticks with Eric Fehr at a family gathering several weeks ago was a huge thrill!  Damon likes to attend Goldeyes games, as well as an occasional Blue Bombers game in Winnipeg with his Dad each summer.       

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Welcome Broncos Players and Fans!!

With the snow gone and the fabulous spring weather around here lately, it is definitely time to play some ball!  The Broncos have been practicing since Monday, April 19, and are looking forward to playing 12 league games in May and June.  In addition, the team has signed up for a weekend tournament in Winnipeg and will, of course, be participating in the Altona Mosquito home tournament on June 12th.
