The Royals dropped their 3rd straight game on May 31, falling 9-7 to the White Rock Eagles. The loss overshadowed a brilliant effort from Doug "The Stud" Whitehead, who pitched 3 solid innings and drove in all but 2 of the Royals runs. In one of the Stud's at-bats, the Eagles intentionally walked the batter in front of him (Greg "Stinger" Stang) to load the bases, only to have Doug clear them with a double. He ended up 3-for-3, all doubles. Dave Jones also hit a double, and Jay and Marke went 2-for-3. The Eagles turned the game around in the 8th inning, erasing a 2-run Royals lead with a 4-spot on the scoreboard. Next up: Delta Stars.
