The Tigerette Softball team defeated Bullit East 13-8 to win the Southern High School Spring Break Bash championship in Louisville, Ky. over the weekend. For the tournament, the Tigerettes were 4-1 saving their best games for the semi-finals and finals on Saturday. The ladies defeated St. Josephs Academy from Ohio 4-2 in Saturday's semi-final that went into an international tie breaker. Taylor East hit a one out single to push the Tigertettes out in front 3-2 and then scored on a base hit. The defense held a half inning later to come away with a hard fought 4-2 victory.
Mary Anne Ballou pitched a 3 hit, 5K shutout against Red Boiling then turned around 2 days later and carried a no-hitter thru 6 and 1/3 innings. She would eventually give up 2 hits and a run to lead the Tigerettes to a 4-1 victory over Watertown.
