Welcome to the 2015 MN State Legion Baseball Tournament Website
Chanhassen Legion Post 580 is very pleased to have the opportunity to host the 2015 Minnesota State American Legion Baseball Tournament.
The tournament will be held from July 31- August 3, 2015. Chanhassen’s Storm/Redbird Stadium will be the primary venue, with additional games to be played at Chaska, Edina and Eden Prairie. The Minnesota State American Legion Tournament includes 16 teams from throughout the state, and will see attendance of over 2,500 people. The tournament showcases top Minnesota athletes and stresses good sportsmanship, while honoring and promoting American veterans.
Many top business, government and community leaders have learned life skills and positive life experiences while participating in American Legion Baseball. Over 100,000 players ages 15 to 19 participate annually in all 50 states. American Legion Baseball is a national institution, and has been a part of the American Legion “Americanism” pillar since 1925; promoting the importance of sportsmanship, good health and active citizenship. Legion baseball has a reputation for serving the young people who participate, awarding college scholarships for leadership, character, academics and financial need.
Nearly 75% of current NCAA college baseball players are program alumni, and more than 50% of current Major League Baseball players played Legion baseball.
