| Game Notes: The Thunder (10-1, 5-1) opened the Richfield Tournament with a 10-5 win over Eden Prairie. The game was limited to six innings due to time constraints, and the Thunder needed every minute to get it done. Starter Robbie Sikich gave the club five strong frames of work, yielding just three earned runs and scattering eight hits. Michael Radermacher (1-0) earned his first win of the season with a scoreless inning of relief. Sam Foy drove in three; Lucas Haug had two RBI; Matt Lilledahl, Nolan Titchner, Peter Zukanoff and Matt DeCovich all knocked in runs. The game was tied at 5 under threatening skies in the 6th, but the Thunder tallied five in the bottom half to seal the deal. Zukanoff doubled off the fence in right center, plating Titchner to open the scoring, and the club scored four more before time was called. Saturday the Thunder plays Hopkins, with veteran Joel Bertelsen making his first appearance on the bump in 2009 and his first career start. First pitch is scheduled for 2:00 PM at Donaldson. | ||||||||||
