| Game Notes: For the second straight game the Braves stumble defensively through the sixth inning and end up on the losing side, this time 7-5 to the Myrtle Beach Seahawks. Things looked promising in the first when Socastee took a 3-0 lead courtesy of a three run shot by Manny Berdayes. But they failed to muster any more offense until the final inning when they made things interesting by plating two runs and having runners on second and third with no outs, before an out at the plate and a game ending line drive double play snuffed out the comeback effort. Kyle Smith suffers the loss, striking out five in five plus innings of work, and Tyler Dillon makes his second mound appearance of the year in relief of Kyle. At the plate the Braves connect for eight hits led by Chase Keevert (3-4, 2r), Dalton Smith (2-4, 2b, 2rbi) and Manny Berdayes (1-3, hr, bb, r, 3rbi). Also contributing were Kyle Smith (1-3, 2b, 2r) and Hayden Miller (1-2, 2b, bb, hbp). | ||||||||||
