| Game Notes: The Thunder lost its road opener to Lakeville North, 4-3. Starter "Easy" Eddie Hagberg (0-1) scattered seven hits, struck out four and walked just one batter. Newcomer Pat Coyne reached twice (1B, ERR) and scored the game's first run in the first, coming home on John Grotkin's RBI sac fly. Trailing 4-1 in the sixth, the Thunder rallied for two runs to cut into the Lakeville lead. Brad "B-Train" Landgrebe led off with a triple and came home on Beau "Ichibeau" Jacobson's RBI single. Grotkin walked and later scored on Mitch Haug's fly ball that was misplayed for an error. The Thunder hit into four double plays on the day, limiting their scoring chances. Landgrebe (1B, 3B, R), Jacobson (2 1B) and Brady Lindemann (2 1B) each had two hits to lead the offense. The club has the weekend off before returning to action Tuesday against division rival Burnsville at EVHS. Pitching match-ups TBA. | ||||||||||
