Buzzards 6 Richmond Monarchs 5

The Buzz moved to 4-0 with a Saturday night win at Latrace Field, after a slight delay for an 11 inning marathon between the Richmond and Maple Ridge teens.  It's fun to watch the lads play,( and play.)  Buzz broke open a 1-1 tie with 5 in the 6th, and held on under the lights for the "W". Kudos to Tony (Mr. Culture) Mazz, who pitched 4 strong, scoreless frames, before donning his tux and heading for a foot stompin' time at the symphony.   Also to Ian Williams, who, a la Balboa, "went the distance" behind the plate. Ian played through having his bell(s) rung, as it were.  He also chipped in a basehit , steal, and a run scored.  Dan (the man) Jukich, drilled a pair of basehits, as did Darren Turik, and lp.  Dave Mac was a tough out, with a capital T, going 3 for 3, & a couple ribbies.  Good team effot, shows our improved depth, even with a handful of guys missing, we still had it covered, and earned a nice road win.
