| Posted Jul 24/11 - East All-Stars drop the West to gain Home Field Advantage in 2011 Playoffs |
| 2011 All-Star game saw Sandvipers Justin Hicks hitting 2 Home Runs, Danny Varian of the Nevada Yankees being named MVP and the West losing to the East 9-8. The West had the tying run at 3rd with 2 outs but couldn't get it across. Sandvipers had 3 representatives as Starters, Steve Wright returned to play and started in Right Field and got the games first hit a double. Steve Johnston started at First Base. and Justin Hicks started at 3rd and Hit 2 Home Runs. With the Easts win the East team will have Home Field advantage in the Championship series at season end. Other Notes: The Black Sox were well represented hitting 3 Home Runs including one by Keith Perez a 3 Run Homerun. |
