Charleston Trojans jumped out to an early lead on Landsharks and captured an 8-1 victory on Saturday behind Kyle Sawyers' three innings or run-less innings pitching. Sawyer allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three during his three innings of work. Closer Zach Ahearn put away the final three outs only allowing one run. With five runs in the first three innings, the Trojans left no doubt of the eventual outcome. Stephen Hickman racked up three RBIs on two hits. Jackson White matched that with a triple of his own driving in Hickman, Bodison, and Ahearn. Landsharks' lone run of the ballgame came in the fourth inning on an error. Charleston Trojans face the Charleston Braves at 3pm for their first of many meeting to come this season.
