| The Buzzards took the Richmond half of a spread out home and home series with the Monarchs, winning 5-2 on a beautiful night at Latrace Field. A 2 out, 3 run rally in the first inning proved to be the difference, 4 straight singles from Mac,Lee, Mike and Tony, led to a 3 spot, and it stood up all night, thanks to the pitching tandem of Ward and Pete. Ward went 5 and Peter closed, with each allowing just one run. Generally solid team defence behind them,some nice plays from Darren, Dan, Jack, Neil, Les. We improve to 3-3. Buzz host the Legends next Saturday at 9 a.m. at Robert Burnaby. |
