Capital City took both games of a double header this past weekend in Vancouver, WA. The first game was a 9-inning contest against Showtime College Prep. In a game filled with walks and errors, Cap City found themselves tied 3-3 going into the 9th. Nate Christophersen led off the inning with his third hit of the game, and that was followed up by an RBI double to left center field from Jack Bauer, to take the 4-3 lead. Hunter Spriggs scored Bauer later in the inning with a ground ball to the right side to make it 5-3. Christophersen came in and closed the door for the save in the bottom half.

In game two, Cap City faced the Junior Prep team from Showtime. A great three innings on the mound from Harrison Reece led the Black Sox to the 4-2 win. Reece faced one over the minimum, giving up one hit, on 32 pitches. Bauer again led the Black Sox charge with two hits.

Capital City hosts a four team showcase at Oregon State University this next weekend. Games will start at 9AM in Goss Stadium on the campus of OSU.
