Campbellsville left eight runners on base Friday morning in Lewiston, Idaho and lost to Lee University 5-2.
Playing last year's World Series runner-up, the Tigers relinquished four runs on home runs in the first four innings before starting pitcher Marc Wilson settled in.
Lee's Chris Warters hit his 17thhomer of the season in the first for a 2-0 Lee lead and Chris Dubon and Junior Rodriquez had solo shots in the second and fourth innings, respectively.
Jimmy Voelker had a solo home run in the second to close the lead to 3-1 and a bases-loaded walk to Brian Chase in the third made it 3-2. But the Tigers could not dent the scoreboard the rest of the way.
Campbellsville left five more runners stranded from the fourth to the ninth and could not overcome an unearned run in the seventh that completed Lee's scoring.
Wilson, who gave up six hits through the first four innings, scattered three the rest of the way. He struck out seven.
Tyler Derby and Chris Curley had two singles apiece and Alex Ponich and Nick Bertolucci each hit safely.
Campbellsville plays the loser of the Berry (Ga.) vs. Southern Poly State (Ga.) game at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in the losers' bracket of the 10-team, double-elimination tournament.
