Last night the Rockford River Bandits played the Buffalo Bulldogs and won by a score of 7-4. Bandit's ace, Jason Lesser, looked solid again as he tallies eight more innings to his totals and leads Rockford to a much needed win. Lesser gave up four runs (two earned) off of ten hits, punching out six, and walking three. Lesser started the ninth inning, but after the first three batters all got on base Haven Williams was called in to close the door. With bases loaded and no outs, Haven pitched through the jam walking one and striking out one securing the win.

The hot bat of the evening was once again Bryan McCallum with four hits including a big two-run homerun in the third inning to put Rockford up 3-0. Andy Jorges was able to reach base all five times with three singles, a walk, and a hit-by-pitch (barely even touched his jersey so he's still a wimp). Cody Kielsa was able to get two hits before coming out on injury. Alex Bjorkstrand also got two. Travis Peterson, Lance Reynolds, Donnie Mavencamp, and Lesser all had one hit each, too. The boys tallied up 15 hits on the evening.

Rockford will have this upcoming Friday night off and will look to extend the wins as they take on Dassel-Cokato Saints Sunday night at 6:00pm in Dassel.
