It was another series that went down to the wire between the Langenburg Legends and the Canora Supers, as a deciding game 3 was needed Friday July 27 in Langenburg.
The Supers struck early with one in the first. However Langenburg replied right back to make it 1-1 after one inning. From there on it was a pitchers dual between the Legends' Kelly Cook and Supers Derek Palagian. In the bottom of the fifth Legends right fielder Tyrel Thorpe sent a 2 run shot over the left center field fence to give the Legends a 3-1 lead as they held on to win by that very score.
The cars were lined up all the way down the third base line and the bleachers were packed as it was a great atmosphere for both the fans and players.
Congrats to the Supers on a great year and look forward to many more to come. Good luck to the Legends as they try to win their first SESBL title for the town of Langenburg since the 2002 Langenburg Indians.
