The offices of the River Valley League (RVL) have released a PRELIMINARY schedule for league games for the 2011 Season.

Once again, the Chanhassen Red Birds will compete in the Central Division of the RVL, which is Class "C".  The Red Birds will play a Home-Away series with each of the Central Division Teams, which include:

Henderson Tigers; Le Sueur Braves; Belle Plaine Tigers; and the Arlington A's.

Additionally, Chanhassen will play one game each against the five teams in the West Division (also class "C"); Winthrop Eagles, Gaylord Islanders, St. Peter Saints, Fairfax Cardinals, and the newest addition to the RVL, the New Ulm Kaiserhoff.  New Ulm is scheduled to visit Chanhassen Red Bird Stadium for the tradition of the July 4th game that highlights a day full of community activities which concludes with the Fireworks over Lake Anne.

Chanhassen will also play three teams in the East Division (Class "B"); The Jordan Brewers, Prior Lake Jays and the Chaska Cubs.  This years game will be played at Chaska Athletic Park, date to be determined.

The Red Birds will open the League Schedule with a Mother's Day game on May 8th, visiting the Winthrop Eagles.   The Regular Season ends on July 17th, with the Belle Plaine Tigers visiting Red Bird Stadium.  Belle Plaine finished atop the Central Division and along with the Red Birds went on to compete in the Region 6 C playoffs.

Also, mark your calendar for April 9th, 2011.  That will be the date for the Inaugural "RED BIRD RALLY" to be held at the Chanhassen American Legion starting at 4:30.  Great food, great fun, valuable prizes, silent auction and much more... all for the purpose of raising Funds and FUN in preparation for the 2011 Red Bird Season.
