The 1st Annual Red Bird Rally to raise funds and fun for the 2011 season was held on Saturday evening, April 9th at the Chanhassen American Legion.  With more than 120 local fans, family and supporters present, more than 50 silent auction items and more than 30 raffle ticket prizes were used to raise funds to support the upcoming season. 

Chairman of the Red Birds, Terre Kemble, wishes to express her sincere appreciation to all the fans that showed up, but special thanks to the local and regional merchants and supporters who offered merchandise and services to be given away at the Rally. 

Manager, Chris Reuvers, used the Rally to introduce the team and express his entushiasm and optimism about the team's prospects in the River Valley League for this season.  Most of the players from last year's team that made it to the Regioal Playoffs are returning and there will be additional support at key positions from new players as well.

The Red Birds will open non-league play with a Home Game on Saturday, April 16th against the Webster Sox.  Game time is 4:00 PM at Storm Red Bird Stadium.  Manager, Chris Reuvers will get a good look at some of the newest additions to the team and assess the "readiness" of last year's rookies.  Saturday, 4/16, Game is cancelled due to High school Tournament.

The Red Birds first game is Sunday, April 17th at Waconia Ball Park to play the Lakers.  They will certainly have revenge on their minds as they remember that the Red Birds beat them three times last season. It is a 2:00 PM start for this non-league game.

Then on April 29th, the Red Birds play the Carver Black Sox at Minnetonka High School's Veterans Field for a 7:00 PM start on Friday night.
