Faming had its best weekend of the season, winning two critical league games.

On Saturday, Zach Posterick pitched eight superb innings to defeat Lake Henry, 2-1.  Zach gave up just four hits to a good-hitting Lakers team.  Greg Holthaus nailed a two-run homer in the sixth to give Farming all the runs its needed.  Brandon Bokinskie had two hits, and Brad Mergen pitched the ninth inning to get the save.

On Sunday, the Flames really got the bats going in a 12-8 victory over Roscoe.  Greg hit his second home run of the weekend, and Craig Rausch, Craig Klein, and Brad Mergen all had three hits for Farming.  Brad pitched for a second straight day and got the win. 

With the two wins, the Flames are now 3-7 in the Stearns County South, and are just 1/2 game behind Roscoe for the fourth and final playoff spot.  We'd have the tiebreaker over them too, since we've beaten them both times.

The Flames travel to St. Martin on Friday for an 8:15pm tilt, and host Lake Henry on Saturday at 1:30pm.  Come on out and support the ballclub.
