Chanhassen Red Birds are pleased to announce the return of Derek Nelson as Manager of the Red Birds starting with the 2012 River Valley League Season.

Chairman of the Red Birds Board, Terre Kemble says .."The Red Birds are excited to welcome back Derek Nelson as our new Manager. Derek already has a great connection to the Red Birds as he was the Assistant Coach in 2010. Derek brings a great knowledge of the game and an enthusiasm to lead the talented group of returning players."

You’ll get a chance to meet with and welcome Derek to the Red Birds at the RED BIRD RALLY on April 14^th, at 6:00 PM at the Chanhassen Legion. We’ll have prizes and silent auctions, food and fun, and great energy to start the season. Come meet the players!

The BIG Prize Raffle include 4 Tickets to Twins Game, and a 32 inch LCD HD TV.

RED BIRDS SEASON OPENER is at Storm Red Bird Stadium on Saturday, May 5^th for a 7:00 PM start against the 2011 State Tournament Runners-Up, Waconia Lakers.
