2012 Umpire Rates for teams based Yorkton, Melville, Canora, Willowbrook 

To avoid any confusion and mix ups I am sending you the fee & mileage schedule we are asking for this year.  As far as assigning umpires I will certainly be aware for Willowbrook and Canora that mileage is a factor and will start by asking the closest located qualified umpires first.  In other words it would be an exception not the rule for someone from Melville to drive up to a Canora game.

If a further away umpire wants to do a game, and 2 closer umpires were available on that night, then the shorter mileage, not the longer mileage will be charged.  As stated I am aware of the mileage cost and will complete assignments with that in mind.

Game fees:        $90.00   will be minimum 2 umpires, if 3 umpires game fee split 3 ways and remains at $90.00.  If for some strange reason we can get only 1 umpire at the diamond, a 1 man system will be 75% of the full game fee or $65.00.

Mileage:              As per last year there will be only 1 mileage charged.  If 2 umpires t travel from different locations, they are expected to  arrange to have 1 pick up the other or the 2 are to agree on how to split the mileage.  In that case the longest of the mileages will be charged.  Example: Yorkton to Willowbrook would charge $15.00 and Melville to Willowbrook would charge $20.00.  If 1 umpire from each location drove, then Willowbrook would be charged $20.00 and it would be up to the 2 umpires to agree on the split.
