The Flames dropped a 6-1 decision to the league-leading Richmond Royals on Sunday, at Richmond.
After a rocky second inning in which the Royals scored four times, Flames starter Chad Mergen settled down and pitched a solid five innings. Brent Mergen, Zach Posterick, and Craig Rausch also took the hill for the Flames.
The bats struggled all afternoon against Richmond starter Andy Bauer, who threw seven scoreless innings. Derrick Roush scored Farming's lone run in the eighth inning. With the loss, the Flames drop to 0-3 in the SCL South.
