The Chanhassen Red Birds traveled to Prior Lake to give the Jays their opening day opponent.  Things looked a little cloudy for a few innings, but the skies opened up and poured, just one inning after the Jays poured down 9 runs on the Red Birds.

Red Birds lost to the Jays by a score of 10 - 1 in a rain shortened game of just 5 innings.

After Chan opened the scoring with 1 run in the top of the 3rd, Prior Lake responded with a run of their own.

In the bottom of the 4th the Jays batted 12 to score 9 runs on just 6 hits, a sac fly, sac bunt, 2 hit batters and a Red Bird fielding error. The Jays last score came on a Homerun by Jays C Sam Hoppe.
