The Chanhassen Red Birds beat Hamburg Hawks, 2 - 0, in opening game of the Hamburg Green Isle tournament tonight.

Justin Thompson pitched a complete (7 inning) game no-hitter getting 12 Strikeouts. The Red Birds got their two runs in the 4th inning from singles by TJ Gulden and John Gulden. David Naughtin walked to load the bases.  Zach Swenson then walked to drive in TJ from third.  Justin Kurth hit a Sacrifice Fly to Centerfield to get John Gulden home to complete the scoring.

TJ Gulden had two singles, John Gulden got one, and Kyle Kemble, Left Field starter, singled to open the 5th inning for the Red Birds.

Justin Thompson faced two  batters over the minimum, allowing one walk, and an infield error on a bad hop to third baseman John Gulden accounted for the two extra batters.
