Lake Henry blew open a close game with a seven-run eighth-inning, en route to a 12-3 victory over the Flames.
Farming scored three runs the first inning to take an early lead. Zach Posterick led off with a single. Craig Klein singled, with Zach taking third. Chris Wehseler grounded out, scoring Zach and moving Craig to third. Randy Lockridge singled to right, scoring Craig. Randy was thrown out trying to stretch the hit into a double. Craig Rausch singled, and Derrick Roush followed with an infield single. Ian Hoffarth singled, scoring Craig with the third run.
Farming's 3-1 lead held up for five innings behind a strong outing from Chad Mergen.
Farming is now 2-2 in the Stearns County League-South, good for third place. Next Saturday, the Flames travel to Geenwald, before hosting Spring Hill on Sunday. Both games are at 1:30pm.
