Farming played a competitive game on Sunday, but ended up losing to Lake Henry by a 6-0 score.
The Flames had seven hits and stranded several runners in scoring position, especially in the first few innings. Craig Klein was 2-for-4 to lead the Farming attack.
Aaron Nett started, and went the first five innings. Chad Mergen pitched the final three innings in relief.
It's do-or-die next weekend as Farming travels to St. Martin for a 1:30pm game on Sunday. The winner of the game will gain entrance into the Region 15C tournament, while the loser's season will come to an end.
Come on over to St. Martin next Sunday to watch this interesting matchup -- the Flames split with St. Martin this year, so this should be a good ballgame with a lot at stake.
