Final Score was 9 – 2 with Luke Penovich getting the win.  Manager Chris Reuvers, put Assistant Coach Derek Nelson in to pitch the 9^th inning in response to boisterous urging from the heavily Chanhassen crowd. 

 Luke pitched a great game getting 8 strikeouts and not allowing any walks through 8 innings. He sandwiched 3 K’s around allowing two hits in the 7^th inning.  

 Red Birds got 4 doubles (3 in a row in the 5^th inning when they batted 9) and 10 singles.  They also drew 10 walks as the two Waconia pitchers struggled to get the ball over the plate.  Waconia also committed 6 errors.    The Red Birds left 18 men on base.  

 Luke Penovich also had 3 hits in 6 Abs, scored 2 runs and had an RBI to help his own cause. Tony Marengo also had 3 hits (2 doubles and a single) in 5 Abs, and an RBI, and scored twice.   Cary McLaughlin was 2 for 5, scored a run and drove in the first run of the game with a single in the top of the first inning.
