The Flames played one of their best games of the season, pounding out 13 hits on their way to an 8-3 win at Roscoe.
Farming jumped out to an early 3-0 first inning lead, courtesy of the first of two home run by Chris Wehseler, who now has three home runs for the season. Chris went 3 for 5 with four RBI's on the afternoon. Zack Posterick was 4 for 5 with a double, Derrick Raush was 2 for 3 with a double, John Theis had a double and two RBI's, and Aaron Nett had a double and an RBI. Sergei Krougov, pinch hitting late in the game, had his first base hit of the season.
Aaron Nett pitched a solid seven innings, giving up three runs on eight hits. Zach Posterick pitched two strong innings to close out the important win.
With the win, the Flames are now tied with the Rangers for the fourth and final playoff spot in the SCL South. |
