The Elko Express defeated the Austin Blue Sox 2-1 in the first round of the state tournament.  The game was held in Glencoe due to heavy rains.

                 Kyle Kraska had two hits for the Express and drove in one run.  Josh Thom and Tony Gabriel each scored once to give Elko the narrow victory.  Brian Muell gave up one earned run on six hits while striking out six Blue Sox batters.  Josh Roiger pitched two scoreless innings to close out the game.  Elko will now play Sauk Rapids Saturday night at 7:30 in Arlington.
