Flames coach Jeff Mergen has successfully advanced through the Primary Election for the position of District 3 Stearns County Commissioner.  Incumbent Vince Schaefer finished with 810 votes followed closely by Jeff with 705.  The other candidates were all well behind these two totals.  District 3 includes Cold Spring, Richmond, Avon, Eden Valley, Holdingford, Kimball, Richmond and Rockville.

Jeff will now face Schaefer in the General Election, which will take place on November 3.  Congratulations to Jeff for advancing in the primary, and good luck with the upcoming election!
