Elrosa used a three-run fourth inning to fuel a 7-0 victory over the Flames on a beautiful Father's Day afternoon in Farming.
Farming managed seven hits on the afternoon, and even loaded the bases in the third inning. But that one key hit seemed to elude us for most of the game. Aaron Eiynck led the way for the Flames going 2-for-3 with a walk. Zach Posterick, Derrick Roush, Erik Schmitt, and Chad Mergen had the other hits for Farming. On the mound, Craig Rausch went the first five-plus innings and Chad Mergen finished up.
For the season, the Flames stand 3-6 in the Stearns County-South. That puts us in third place, one game ahead of St. Martin.
The team has two games this week: an exhibition game at Pearl Lake on Wednesday at 6:30, and a home game against New Munich on Sunday at 1:30pm. Come on out and see all the improvements that have been made to the ballpark in preparation for the Region 15C tournament.
