Saliña Tigers is a division of the Saliña Youth Baseball Organisation (S.Y.B.O.).This organisation (S.Y.B.O.) was founded in the year 2000 by a couple of very good neighbourhood friends.This to provide the youth of Saliña and surroundings the chance to play & learn the sport of baseball and to help them in their education to become responsible citizans in the future.Besides baseball norms and values is taught.Also the sense of having certain responsabilities.Due to the years the organisation has grown rapidly thanks to the technical and didactical skills of the founders.The founders of this tremendous organisation are, Mr.V.Winklar, Mr.R.Stewart, Mr.I.Stewart, Mr.T.Stewart, Mr.J.Leito and Mr.A.Gordon.

Today Saliña Youth Baseball Organisation consists of approximately 130 - 150 youth members and is one of the youngest,fastest growing baseball orgnisations of the island of Curaçao.Due the fast growing of the organisation it was necessary to make a complete organisation of it.The formalisation of the last mentioned is in its final phase thanks to the input of parents, technical staf and sponsors.

The divisions in which the members play are:
T-Ball (Wimpiri Age 5-7)
Pre-infant (Vruminga Age 7-9 yrs)
Minor League (Age 9-10 yrs)
Little League (Age 11-12 yrs)
Junior League (Age 13-14 yrs)
Senior League (Age 15-16 yrs)

In fall of 2004 one of the organisation's promising coaches, Mr.Fermin Coronel,signed on as a scout for the St.Louis Cardinals.Since then Fermin has been providing all leagues ages,but mainly the senior league division,with clinics.During 2005 Salinja Youth Baseball Organisation has agreed to work together with BBC Wildcats.This cooperation is to ensure that the players who finish their senior league division could continue playing baseball.In the last 15 years BBC Wildcats has become 8 consecutive time champions of Curaçao.BBC Wild cats has 3 divisions where players can play:
Big League/Youth AAA (Hubenil Ages 17-19 yrs)
Adult A-Class
Adult AA-Class

Also during the 2005 season Fermin Coronel received the assignment of pitching coach of the national team (16-18) to participate in the Kingdom Games 2005 which were held in Curaçao.The Kingdom Games are like mini olympic games for the youth within the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
