Mounties and Spurs Go to WAR!

The Mounties and Spurs rekindled their rivalry early by splitting a double header on Sunday.  It didnt take long for the fire works to begin as the Spurs extinguished the Mountie threat in the top of the first with a triple play.  The Spurs continued their great defence in the game with a double play in the 2nd.  Cloverdale took a 3 - 0 lead in the bottom of the 2nd, but the Mounties clawed back and scored 9 unanswered runs to win the first game by a 9 - 3 score.

The 2nd game was a sea-saw battle with the game tied 5 - 5 after 7 innings.  The Spurs once again thwarted a Mountie rally with a double play in the top of the 8th inning.  In the bottom of the inning with two outs the Spurs knocked in the winning run to win by a 6 - 5 score in 8 innings.

Both teams played spirited ball and are hopefully looking for a rematch in next weeks Jamboree.
