Mounties FEEL GOOD on Good Friday!

Posted April 6, 2012

The Vancouver Mounties defeated the host Tri City Indians 9 - 2 in their opening round robin game at the Ice Breaker Tournament.  The Mounties put 4 runs up in the 2nd inning only to see Tri City answer back with 2 in the bottom of the inning.

The Mounties played flawless defence shutting out the Indians the rest of the way and put up 4 more runs in the 4th and added a single in the 5th inning.  Offensively the Mounties made an error when Sengaras long hit out of the park was called foul.  Sengara needs to learn to keep the ball lower than the foul pole so it is easeir to judge.

All in all the Mountie pitching was solid giving up 3 hits.  The Mounties sliced and diced 10 hits off of the Indian pitchers.
