Mounties Spurs Tie!

The
Cloverdale Black Spurs scored 5 runs in the 7th inning including a
dramatic 3 run shot by Jake Macdonald to come back and tie the Mounties
in the final round robin game of the Ice Breaker Tournament. The
Mounties outhit the Spurs by a 15 to 9 count in the contest but games
are won by hard work and defence and in this game the Black Spurs were
superior to the Mounties playing error less ball while the
Mounties defence combined to make a total of 8 errors in the game.
The Mounties
will have little time to regroup as the same two teams will meet again
tomorrow night in the Championship game starting at 6:00pm at
Bird field.
