Cloverdale Spurs Poker Night a GAMBLERS Nightmare!
Posted April 15, 2012
There were over 100 participants in the tournament and amazingly enough 3 players from Pawlicks table advanced to the final table of 8. Coach Pawlick was on his best behaviour this night and did not fall for any of Robichauds shenanigans playing it straight up, going all in on many occasions and resisting the strategy of giving any free passes along the way.
For Sengara the Poker Gods were certainly not looking his way as he went all in twice with trip aces only to lose on the river both times. The Jr. Pawlick lasted the longest out of the group but it was not a good night for the Vancouver trio as the competition was ruthless. The Final winner was from Pawlick Sr.'s table #2. Bal Hayre a parent from Cloverdale Red who endured the early trash talk from coach Pawlick went on to win the $1,000.00 grand prize.
This was a first class event that was put on by the Cloverdale parents and their efforts helped raise a substantial amount of money for the Cloverdale Black Spur teams road trip to Notre Dame. It was a great evening of fun and the event was topped off by some unexpected break dancing by Rookie Cloverdale Black Spurs coach Mazer.
