Unfortunate Incident Ends Game!

It was a great ball game played hard by two teams that ended abruptly when a comebacker hit the Richmond reliever in the back.  The paramedics were called to the scene and the the brave young man was taken to the hospital.  When unfortunate things like this happen the game just doesn't seem that important.  It was refreshing to see players from both teams giving him encouragement as he was put into the ambulance.  We all wish him a speedy recovery.

***July 24 UPDATE*** The player left the hospital early this morning and x-rays were negative.   The doctors felt it was a soft tissue injury and he should be better before the Provincials start next week.
