Noble Picks up win at Canada Cup!
Connor Noble Pitched and got the win over Alberta in Team B.C.'s opening game in the Canada Cup. Noble went 5 innings allowing just 1 run on 3 hits and 1 walk. Noble was dominant striking out 8 Alberta Batters. Other former Moutie Alumni also contributed with Sasaki, O,Neill and Robinson all picking up a hit in the contest. Next opponent for Team B.C. is Quebec.
Quebec downs B.C. in Close one!
Quebec
scored in the first 2 innings and that would be all that they would
need as they held on to defeat Team B.C. by a 3 to 1 score. Victoria's
Kurt Horne got the start and lost out in a pitching duel to the Quebec
pitcher. Horne gave up 5 hits walked 2 and struck out 7 batters in 6
innings of work.
Team Ontario handed Team B.C. their first loss of the tournament. Team B.C. opened the scoring in the bottom of the 4th when they put 2 runs on the board. Ontario answered back big time in the top of the 5th breaking open the game with 5 runs. B.C. got back to within 2 runs when they scored one in the 6th, but Ontario Scored 3 in the 7th to secure the 8 - 3 win over Team B.C. Next up for Team B.C. the always tough boys from Quebec.
Team BC at Canada Cup finishes their day with a win and loss
Team
BC split their final two games on Saturday falling 13-9 to Alberta and
pounding Nova Scotia 16-1. Mountie Alumni Connor Noble got the victory
in the Nova Scotia tilt. They have now moved onto the medal round and
face Quebec in the Semi Final. In the other Semi Final Ontario goes up
against Manitoba.
Team B.C. U17 Wins Silver at Canada Cup!
Two
offensive outbursts in the 4th and 5th innings propelled Team Ontario
on to a 9 - 8 victory over Team B.C. in the Championship game in the
Canada Cup Tournament. Congratulations to Team B.C.
