Mounties Start Pre-Season With 2 Wins!

Posted March 9, 2013

The Vancouver Mounties came from behind in both games to open up the pre-season with two wins over the Cloverdale Spurs.  In the first game, batters had the advantage as the strike zone was quite small.  Both teams were able to put up runs, and the Mounties were able to prevail by a 14 - 8 score over the Spurs.

In the second game, the Spurs once again jumped out to an early lead scoring 2 runs in the first inning.  The Mounties answered with 4 in the 3rd and 5th innings and were able to hold Cloverdale off late to defeat the Spurs 8 - 6.

It was a great day of baseball, and the quality of play improved as the day went on after the two teams worked through some early mistakes.
