RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW Mounties Beat Braves!

The
Burnaby Braves came out decked in war paint ready to pillage a victory
from the Vancouver Mounties, but in the end it was the Mounties
who were ready Right here and Right Now turning the tables on the upstart Burnaby team and sending them home on the bottom end of and 8 - 2 score.
Huntley
seemed visibly shaken by the war paint sending the leadoff batter to
1st when an errant pitch struck the Brave batter. A stolen base a ground
out and a single gave the Braves their first and only lead of the game.
The
Mounties circled the wagons and came back in the top of the 2nd when
Younan doubled, and Tintero walked, bringing up Kingsbury who promptly
moved them into scoring postion. Huntley now making amends for his
earlier fear of the war painted Braves, hit a ball with such a tomahawk
spin that the Brave 2nd baseman had trouble fielding, knocking in two
runs and the Mounties had a 2 - 1 lead.
The Mounties put the game
out of reach when they put up a 6 spot in the top of the 4th inning to
take an 8 - 1 lead. Yang with a clutch 2 strike double started the
onslaught and combined with a combination of walks, hits, and errors,
Currie, Ensing, Younan, Kingsbury, Huntley and Yang all crossed the
plate putting the final arrow through the heart of the Braves.
The
wounded Braves fought back scoring 1 in the bottom of the 4th but that
was all they could muster. The game was called after 5 innings due to
darkness. The Mounties ended up with 8 hits with Younan and Hogan
leading the way with 3 a piece. Huntley went the distance picking
up the win striking out 11 Brave batters in 5 innings of work.
