Hitters happy to get back to HEAVY METAL!

Posted May 21, 2013

The regular season starts up again after a 7 day break and although hearing the crack of the ball of a wood bat was nice, most Bantam AAA hitters will be looking forward to once again hearing the ping sound coming off the bat, as run totals were way down and one can assume that batting averages also took a dip over the weekend.

Although wood bats are unique we all know that the fun part for the players is hitting.  8 of the 11 B.C. Minor teams that participated in the tournament averaged less runs than they did during the regular season.  Only 3 teams Aldergrove, Burnaby and the Mounties were able surpass their regular season average run totals.  While 5 other teams run totals were down over 2 and a half runs per game.
